The Fishing   Rating: Very Good

The 6 acre Specimen Lake is an out and out carp anglers paradise day ticket venue. Originally being 2 specimen lakes constructed in the late 90's and recently joined together making one large water. The lake iteself contains many features including islands, lilly pads, marginal shelves gravel bars and plateaus with depths of up to 12 feet.

There is a large head of genuine English mirror, common and koi carp up to 45lb and Pike to 22lb plus. Menards is situated in a quiet tranquil setting within a 10 acre complex surrounded by mature oak trees on the edge of St Leonards forest..

Peg Availability   Rating: Good
As a popular venue with only 17 pegs, it is wise to call the bailiff before travelling any long distances. With that said there are normally pegs available during the week.

Walk To Peg   Rating: Very Good

The walk is a bit treacherous, especially in the rain. It is definitely a good idea to opt for the quad and trailer option and pay the £2.50 extra. Unless you are only there for a short session or are travelling particularly light.
