I keep this a secret... But lets just say it gets a bit messy!

“Well as you can see from the photos a few of us on here fish this reservoir a lot and rate it highly.If you want a runs water for carp 8lb-30lb then this is the place to go. Being in Oxfordshire it is a little drive for us Surrey boys but well worth the road trip!

I recommend getting there as early as possible and check the match board (weekends have matches a lot). However being such a large expanse of water the matches are normally confined to one side of the reservoir.

Anywhere is good to fish but the bigger fish tend to hold up nearer the dam wall. If you want quantity head up towards the middle. The back is superb in the summer for freelining floating bread.

A head torch is a must... If you plan on leaving before sunset then youll probably find one more cast lead to one more fish and so on until you realise its 1am!!!

Watch out for the platform around the reservoir... gets a bit slippy in the mornings and you do NOT want to be falling in with all your kit on your back! (been close!) I suppose i should talk about the fishing... Well it doesnt seem to matter where you fish... or what you fish on..

If the fish are biting you will catch. I have caught on anything from Boilies to cheese to floating pellets. So get yourselves down there.....”

The walkways could have a bit more grip.
