Tactics Used:
Doobs and me used the usual carp n cat tactics when we were there. We fished all three each of our rods up close to the main island on snipe lake with a mixture of liver boilies and halibut pellets. We knocked up our baits with PVA bags and chucked them out at about 7 pm.
Review:
“We waited eagerly for a few hours after chucking our rods out as there was lots of movement around the main island. Finally at about 10pm one of doobs rods screamed off and a fish was on. 20 minutes of battle ensued and finally doobs largest catfish was banked at a fraction under 20lb....”
Plus Points:
We really like the fact that there are so many lakes at Beaver farm, it makes for some varied fishing.
Could Improve:
The walk can be quite long, so we would reccomend arriving before the gates are locked so that you can drive to your peg if need be.
Summary:
A great venue with lots to offer, better suited to longer stay anglers.
